We just do not know who we’d be without CUESA (Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) and their incomparable Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Having been around since 1999, CUESA joined our community when we reopened as a marketplace in 2003. And that was the first year they had their annual fundraising gala, Sunday Supper. And what a gala! This fundraiser to end all fundraisers, really.

And this year is no different: thirty five top chefs, one fabulous four course feast, rubbing elbows with the farmers who feed us, and of course the very special food luminary Ruth Reichl will be mingling with guests and providing opening remarks. We are so excited to have friendly folks from State Bird Provisions/The Progress; Cala; Mister Jiu’s; Prospect; Michael Mina; Bar Agricole; Eng of Bix; and about 30 more. And let us not forget the silent and live auctions.

A few live auction items will include:

Please join us October 16 in celebrating and encouraging one of the best organizations around.

We are always impressed with their markets, their marketing, and their critical youth programs:
Schoolyard to Market and Foodwise Kids.

“CUESA’s Sunday Supper is unique because it truly highlights the deep relationships between Bay Area chefs and their farms,” says Executive Director Marcy Coburn. “The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is arguably the most chef-driven farmers market in the Bay Area, and Sunday Supper is where attendees get to experience the best of the Bay Area food scene and farming community in one spectacular evening.”
