SF Ferry Building

Public Health Update

In light of the COVID-19 health threat, we wanted to assure our visitors that we are taking every precaution to ensure that the guidelines set by the San Francisco Department of Public Health and CDC are being upheld throughout the Ferry Building.

While the Ferry Building marketplace currently remains open during normal business hours, some of our merchants have elected to close. Please check individual merchant websites, social media profiles or the merchant pages on this site for closure updates. CUESA’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Markets will continue to take place.

To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, we have increased our already vigorous cleaning procedures at the Ferry Building to include:

  • Adding hand sanitizers throughout the building
  • More than doubling the number of times we clean common areas (e.g. door handles, restrooms) each day
  • Using hospital-grade disinfectant for these cleanings
  • Placing three additional hand washing stations throughout the exterior for upcoming Ferry Plaza Farmers Markets
  • Propping exterior doors open during high-volume times (decreasing hand-to-door hardware contact)

Please check individual merchant websites, social media profiles or the merchant pages on this site for closure and takeout/delivery updates.  We will continue to monitor the situation and adapt our approach as appropriate.
