San Francisco Fish Company’s owner, Allen Kuehn, has been providing the Bay Area with fresh seafood for over 25 years. His store in the Ferry Building offers customers both a fish market and casual dining experience. There is a great selection of personally hand-picked fish from around the world, focusing on local, wild, and sustainable products, as well as live crab and lobster tanks. Dine-in or take-out an assortment of seafood salads and sandwiches ready-to-go, or choose from the daily menu of made-to-order classic and specialty lunch items, including four soups and chowders, specials of the day, and a New Orleans menu on Tuesdays.
For those in a hurry or planning dinner, there are prepared take-home items such as seafood lasagna, lobster pot pie, and house-cured gravlax, and a variety of fresh caviar. For special occasions, there is whole poached salmon along with other party favorites. On Saturdays, there are fresh oysters in the oyster bar.
