Oak Hill Farm of Sonoma is the Marketplace’s colorful, charming flower shop. It brings the rustic, seasonal beauty of its Glen Ellen farm with the same name to San Francisco. Sophisticated displays of freshly-cut, sustainably-grown bouquets in French flower buckets are complemented by a fragrant array of handmade, farm-grown herb wreaths and decorations, living plants, and design accessories. The company’s floral design staff can create custom arrangements for walk-in customers, business accounts, and for special events in the Ferry Building and throughout San Francisco. Oak Hill Farm has been growing flowers and greenery organically since the 1960’s. Otto Teller, the farm’s founder, was a pioneering conservationist. Until his death in 1998 at the age of 92, Otto Teller was a passionate protector of wildlife habitat, watersheds, and open space. Today Anne Teller, Otto’s widow, and her family carry on with his ideals. The 700-acre farm on the western slope of the Mayacamas Mountains grows more than 100 varieties of annual and perennial flowers and shrubs. Oak Hill Farm buys locally-produced and sustainably-grown products to augment its own production whenever possible. |
