Kingdom of Herbs specializes in certified organic plant starts, gardening accoutrements, and an array of botanical products to inspire and support healthy living. With the ambiance of a rustic, old world nursery, the shop carries a year-round selection of vegetables—including many heirloom varieties; culinary and medicinal herbs; flowers, such as scented geraniums; and a wide selection of containers and window boxes—from functional paper pulp pots to decorative planters. In one convenient location, shoppers can buy organic planting mixes, hand tools, seeds, and more—including dried culinary and medicinal herbs.

The shop sells books on gardening, and has a small reference library. There is a bulletin board for ecological information and plans are in the works for educational classes and events. The owners bring a history of creativity. Chiquita Woodard played a pioneering role at Celestial Seasonings and Smith & Hawken. William Rosenzweig was a co-founder of Republic of Tea.
