Ferry Plaza Seafood offers shoppers both fresh fish and seafood to take home, and a delightful place to have lunch or a light dinner at the Ferry Building. The 16-seat Italian marble counter provides a magnificent view of the San Francisco Bay while enjoying ultra-fresh shellfish, cracked crab, chowders, seafood salads and seafood cocktails. All produce comes from Marketplace merchants and the wine list is designed with selections available at Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant. Take-out is available.
The other half of the shop is a long fish counter—stocked with a wide selection of fresh fish and seafood on ice. There is seasonal catch from local boats as well as top quality fish from world suppliers. Prepared items include crab cioppino, salmon roasts, stuffed clams and more. Ferry Plaza Seafood is owned by Ute and Bill Bowes who brought Bob Costarella into the project as an advisor. Many top Bay Area chefs will recognize Bob’s name—they have been ordering fish from him for more than a decade at Costarella Seafoods located at Pier 45 on Fisherman’s Wharf.
