Ciao Bella is a classic Italian gelateria. The beautiful shop, complete with Italian stainless steel displays, tempts visitors with 36 flavors of gelato and sorbet every day. These are sold by the scoop and in hand-packed pints to take home, and draw on a rotating selection of more than 200 flavors. The selection includes award-winning flavors such as Hazelnut Biscotti and Valrhona Chocolate; favorites like Triple Espresso and Scharffen Berger Chocolate Gelato from Ciao Bella’s neighbor at the Marketplace; and seasonal market specials, including those made with fruit from the farmers’ market. Other offerings include shakes, smoothies and Italian beverages.
In 1983, Ciao Bella opened a neighborhood gelateria in New York’s Little Italy. Starting with a family recipe from Torino, Italy, Ciao Bella is now highly acclaimed nationwide. Marketplace products are made in San Francisco. In keeping with customer demand, there are two new low carb flavors and organic selections are scheduled for release later this year.
